Salesforce Integration for Survey Responses

The Salesforce integration allows you to automatically sync survey responses from Product Fruits to Salesforce Contact properties. This enables you to maintain up-to-date customer data in your CRM based on how users respond to your surveys. This feature is only available on the Enterprise plan and currently supports Surveys only.

Accessing the Integration

Navigate to More > Integrations in your Product Fruits dashboard, then find the Salesforce integration under the Send data from Product Fruits section.

Setup Instructions

Step 1: Connect Salesforce

Begin by connecting your Salesforce account to Product Fruits through the Integrations page. Once connected, it may take up to one minute for your Salesforce properties to populate in the Product Fruits interface.

Step 2: Configure User Mapping

User mapping establishes the connection between users in Product Fruits and Contacts in Salesforce. This tells Product Fruits which Contact to update when a user submits a survey response.

To set up user mapping:

  1. Specify which Product Fruits user property corresponds to the Salesforce Contact identifier
  2. This ensures survey responses are attributed to the correct Contact record in Salesforce

Note: Salesforce properties will appear in this section approximately one minute after establishing the connection.

Step 3: Map Survey Questions to Salesforce Properties

For each survey question you want to sync to Salesforce:

  1. Open the survey question settings
  2. Locate the Salesforce mapping option
  3. Enable the mapping and select the corresponding Salesforce Contact property where you want the answer stored

When a user who matches your mapping configuration answers a mapped question, their response will be sent to the designated custom property in Salesforce.

Important Considerations

Sync Timing

The synchronization is not real-time. Survey responses are sent to Salesforce at 30-minute intervals. Plan accordingly if you need immediate data updates.

Preserving Answer History

By default, each sync will overwrite the previous value in Salesforce. If you need to maintain a historical record of all survey responses:

  1. Create custom workflows in Salesforce
  2. Configure these workflows to copy values to a custom object whenever Product Fruits updates a Contact property
  3. This allows you to track how responses change over time

Troubleshooting

If your Salesforce properties aren't appearing after connection, wait a full minute and refresh the page. If issues persist, try reconnecting your Salesforce account.
