Flows Analytics
Flow Analytics helps you understand how users move through a flow after it is published. Use it to see where users start, where they drop off, how many complete the flow, and which steps may need improvement.
Total vs. Unique
By default, every interaction is counted separately.
If the same user goes through the flow three times, that counts as three starts.
Turn on the Show Unique toggle to count each user only once. This gives you a cleaner picture of reach instead of total volume.
One thing to watch out for: if you manually restarted the flow for any users, those users will show up multiple times in the data unless Unique is on. If your numbers seem higher than expected, this is likely the reason.
Date Range
Use the date range selector to focus on a specific period.
The preset options cover the last 7, 30, 60, and 90 days.
If you need something more precise, use the custom range to set exact start and end dates.
Filters
Filters let you look at how a specific group of users experienced the flow instead of reviewing everyone at once.
User segment
User segment: filters by a predefined segment, such as new or returning users.
The segment is evaluated based on the user's status at the time they interacted with the flow, not their status today.
Learn how to create segments.
Custom rules
Custom rules: let you build your own filter from user properties or inbound parameters.
Use this for things like role, signup date, or specific actions taken during the flow.
Custom rules are useful when you want to compare how different types of users move through the same flow.
Metrics
The summary at the top shows the key numbers at a glance:
- Impressions: the total number of times the flow was shown to users.
- Starts / Runs: how many times a user actually began the flow.
- Completion: the percentage of starts that made it all the way through the flow.
- Top drop-off step: the step where most users exited. Use this to identify where the flow may need clearer copy, better timing, or a different structure.
- Exit rate: the percentage of starts that did not result in a completion.
- Median time: the midpoint completion time across all users, shown in seconds.
Step-by-Step Breakdown
Below the summary, you will find a visual map of the flow with per-step data.
Hover over any card to see exactly what happened at that point.
- Reached: how many times users arrived at that step.
- Viewed: how many times the card actually rendered in the user's browser.
- This can be lower than Reached if the card's target element was not on the page yet, or if the user navigated away before the card had a chance to appear.
- Progressed: how many users moved on to the next step.
- Dropped: how many users left the flow, terminated it, or reached the step but never interacted with it.
